If you can tear your eyes away from Rihanna’s ruby red hair in her video for “Only Girl (in the World)” to focus on her outfits, right at the end of the song she’s wearing a LOT of fringing and dancing around with fireworks in the background. No such commotion going on in my street in North West London on the fireworks front, but I am following her lead to try to out fringing.
The top in the pictures below is from the gorgeous and ever transforming line ASOS Black (www.asos.com) It was on my birthday wish list and I’m more in love with it on than when I saw it advertised on the ASOS site. It works well with jeans but here I decided to post a smarter look by pairing it with a pencil skirt, high heels and a cuff to see if it would pass the work dress code test*.
Not all of the ASOS black range excites me at the moment, but my tops pics are as follows:
- ASOS BLACK Pleated Tiered Mini Skirt
- ASOS BLACK Exaggerated Hip Textured Dress
- ASOS BLACK Exaggerated Ruffle Coat (really for anyone looking for a wool rich winter coat, you need to check this out!)
I’d be interested to hear other views on the ASOS black range – or alternatively the ASOS white range, as I have an ASOS white top to post soon…
Wearing: ASOS BLACK Loop Detail Racer Back Vest in grey; Pencil skirt, (unknown); Shoes, Dorothy Perkins as before; Cuff, also ASOS.
*yep you’re right, the heels still wouldn’t.
