Friday Lingerie Lust: Stola

Yesterday an email popped up in my inbox from one of my favourite East Village lingerie boutiques – Azaleas.  They introduced to me Stola – whose Celebration collection covers everything I want from my lingerie in the move towards warmer months.

Celebration marks the arrival of spring with a focus on nature.  The richness of colour, form and texture; the awakening of animals and plants – it is a beautiful and delicate collection reflecting on all these things.

The collection is split into three main lines.  Butterfly (image top) is true to its name, mixing prints that show off the beauty of butterflies with delicate, innocent white bra and brief sets.  Flowers (immediately above) is a gorgeous mix of pastel and bold prints – a truly botanic – inspired display for the senses.

My favourite of the three, Skin and Feathers, combines earthy tones with sheer fabrics and lace.  Mostly bra and brief sets with the occasional sleepwear – Stola is a very sensitive yet comfortable, cheerful and exotic collection that I think appeals to those with a sense of adventure.  I can’t think of another range that more accurately sums up how I love to feel when spring is around the corner.

If you are interested in purchasing Stola, you can buy from Azaleas in NYC.

What do you think of Stola, Blog Reader?  Do you have a favourite collection from Celebration? Also, do your lingerie choices vary according to season?

I always love how you talk about lingerie – you’re a true aficionado, and I learn so much from your Friday posts. I’ve still barely scratched the surface of the lingerie world, I definitely don’t have seasonal thoughts on lingerie yet, but I like to think I’m getting there 🙂 All of the variations on the Celebration line from Stola are lovely, but I like the unusually classic look of Skin and Feathers best of all.

You are right, they would compliment that MaxMara collection very well. I adore the Flowers and the Skin+Feathers sets, especially the one in a middle for the Flowers and the green one from The Skin&Feathers. And how fab it would be to wake up wearing butterfly covered PJs! x
