“A woman’s beauty is not in her figure, in the way she dresses, in the clothes she wears, or in the way she does her hair. A woman’s beauty is seen in her eyes, because they are the window to her soul, the place where love dwells”  ~ Audrey Hepburn

    Hi there
I adore your blog and think your figure is perfect for all the clothes you wear. Being a bit fashion obsessed myself, I’m about to start recording on a blog my journey to get back into my wardrobe, some of which now I’m officially a 30-something no longer fits like it did in my 20s. I was wondering what you do to keep in shape other than pilates which you mention from time to time. Has the US no carbs diet gotten the better of you? I would be really interested to hear because I do dream of being able to order online and no worry that the clothes won’t fall properly and you’re always recommending things from ASOS.

    • Karen thanks for your comment, I will email you.

      • 30somethinger says:

Thank you very much for emailing me. I guess food and style is somewhat of a psychological question for many people as too many people take food to one extreme or the other in the pursuit of fashion, whatever be their taste, rather than eating to be healthy and then finding the fashion that fits them (I’m sure you remember ‘What Not to Wear’. The States has ‘Style by Jury’). I find myself in the position of many a 30-something, who no longer has the body of their 20-something self but boasts a good wardrobe honed over a decade that I still want to be able to fit into (and add to). That wardrobe is teasing me now that I can’t fit into 70% of it, having put on some weight since hitting 30. I’m not ready to give up on it as the reasons I put on weight can be overcome. I thought of you as the obvious person to ask so thank you again.

Here is a beautiful space for me to lose hours and hours in this fashion world!

  12. Love your Audrey Hepburn quote – too true

  13. totally love your blog!! Keep up with the good work 🙂

  14. Fabulous blog, darling. Just found you via Twitter. ANytime you wake up on a whim and would like to fly a photographer from Toronto to take photos of you….I’m your girl. 😉 Would love to photograph you!

  15. I’m really enjoying your blog! I wondered who took the photos, or do you take them yourself on a timer? They’re really high quality so I was impressed! I’m training as a psychologist currently and I’ve often thought that too many professionals dress in a rather dull, frumpy way. You’ve given me a bit of inspiration for my work-wear!

I love your quote. Checking out the current US fashion while living in Vietnam for 2 more years! Thanks for keeping me (and everyone else) in on the fashion loop!

    • Hi Winn thanks so much for visiting and leaving me a comment. Are you in Vietnam now? Would love to find out more about the fashions over there…

      • Winn says:

Yes, we are here for a 3-year stint with my husband’s career. I have LOTS to tell about fashion over here! In a nutshell, it’s great if you are a size US zero, 2, or 4. I am a Talbots petite 8 and the shirts that fit me here are sized XL or 2XL. So it’s great if you’re tiny … Let me know if you want a guest blog on it.

I could not agree more! I like your blog tremendously…the title is great, the blending of psychology and fashion 😉 Nice touch!

I have to say that a woman’s beauty is in her figure. Agonising over clothing rails, wishing you were able to fit your chunky thighs into those skinny jeans or wishing you had more cleavage for that low cut top for example has taught me that clothes don’t make a girl beautiful if she can’t find anything to fit. You are so lucky to have that ability to, I guess, be able to what whatever and look lovely. I do think your blog is lovely and the fashions adorable. If anything, it motivates me to stay in shape.

I recently found your blog through the Everyday Glamour blog. I was just getting comfortable with Kate’s idea of truthfully assessing my wardrobe and shopping habits to only keep and/or buy the things I really need/love/can’t live without. And then along comes your blog with so many really need/love/can’t live without pieces! Oh, I’m so conflicted!! I think it’s time for a glass of wine or 2.
    Ciao! Elise

Hi! I’m Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a diet/fitness app and site. I bumped into your blog yesterday and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in getting 1 for free to review when it’s out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker.com with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

In case you don’t know, our site SlimKicker basically turns your diet/fitness goals into a level-up RPG game. The tracker will work in conjunction the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue
